一日の終わり The End of the Day

マレーシアは今祝日です。ハリラヤ・アイディルフィトリ（またはハリラヤ・プアサ）は、イスラム教徒が断食月終了を祝うもので、他の国のクリスマスやお正月のような感じです。多くの人が親戚や友人を訪ねたり、家族で集まるために故郷に帰ります。この里帰りをマレー語で「バリク・カンポン」と言います。

It’s holiday in Malaysia. Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Hari Raya Puasa) is the festival calling the end of Islamic fasting month, and celebrated by all Muslims here something like Christmas or new year in other country. Many peoples visit relatives and friends, or go back to their hometown for family gathering. This is called “Balik Kampung” in Malay.

この長い祝日（と言っても4連休ですが）を利用してどこか海外に出かけようと思っていましたが、同行する予定だった友人が突然入院してしまい、計画は中止になってしまいました。仕方ないですね。

I have planned travelling somewhere overseas taking advantage of this long holiday (4 days though). However, the friend supposed to join this travel was admitted in hospital, and the plan called off…

と言うことで、今は家にこもって普段出来なかった（やらなかった）家の片付けなどをしています。机の上、棚、たんす等々、二度と読まない本や雑誌、着られない服、なぜ保管してるのかわからない箱や袋．．．捨てる物がたくさん出てきました。

I am here at home to do whatever need to do but accumulated long time, such as major clean up of my desk, cabinet, drawer, wardrobe… I have found full of never-read-again books and magazines, cannot-wear-again clothes, what-for-I-keep paper bags and boxes, to through away.



そんなこんなで疲れちゃったのですが、一日の終わりにこんな空が登場してくれたので、何だか和んじゃった。天の贈り物です。夕日が沈む前のオレンジ色の光が、オーロラみたいに上の方へ流れていました。

Even though I am very tired of these house works, I feel saved when I saw this sky in the evening today. It is the gift of the god. Just before sun set, the orange beam was creating a line upward, just like an aurora.
